No wonder it's called the Marathon County Sheriff's Department.

An 18-year-old suspected truck thief couldn't elude capture by Marathon's finest in Wausau, Wis., despite fleeing on a bicycle, then running through some woods and finally swimming across the Wisconsin River.

As Bob Chavez of the Rochester (N.Y.) Democrat & Chronicle pointed out, "Benjamin J. Solchenberger may one day be a fine triathlete - when he gets out of jail."
